First day on the new Rome Design split setup!
Big Cottonwood Canyon: my cabin to the top of Powderhorn, down Diamond Lane to Main Street and into the trees to upper soli village.
Elevations: 7,725′ – 9,888
2,163′ up, 1,688 down
My place is about a half mile outta view to the right.
Home.
Headin up the street… it started snowin so i got hooded.
Climbed up Gary’s Glade to gain the ridge and stopped on top of the Powderhorn lift. My line is down there somewhere over that blind rollover. Stoked cos the warm new snow was bonding super well with the old. Clean pow lines all the way to the village.
Splitboard.
Shredboard.
Countless face shots later, i stopped by work for a drink and headed to the road to hitch hike. No such luck at night… guess i looked like a shady character. Called up my roomate to jump in my car and pick me up. Thanks Andy!
All in all, splitboarding is whats up. Much more efficient than snowshoes on the uphill and its only a half pound heavier than my normal setup. You dont have to carry your board on your back on the way up and nothin on your back on the way down. Im hooked.

Thats sweet man. I wanna try that this winter for sure.
The tricky part is just getting someones split to use. haha
crushing it budday. good work
