Big Cottonwood Canyon: Spruces Campground, up Mill D to Reynolds summit and back.

Elevations: 7,200′ – 9,422′

There are very few steep slopes that are in any way safe right now. Reynolds is one of the exceptions. It ripped out on December 24 and with all the new snow, its deep and sane to shred. Bob The Wizard hit it up yesterday. I saw the photos and had to get at it. Hope theres still some freshies for us!

Gettin started with first light on Mount Raymond.

Kessler.

At -10 degrees, my breath was frozen to my jacket within minutes.

The skin track was all cut out for us and things finally started to warm up.

There it is… and still plenty of pow pow.

The last stretch.

Epic views on the summit. Lookin back down to the road.

Kessler again with God’s Lawnmower and Argenta slide paths.

Glide slide on Cardiac Ridge with an old crown right next to it. The debris made it all the way to the rollover.

A good look at our hike 2 days ago. Dromedary, Sunrise, Twin Peaks and Storm Mountain.

Another natural in Broads. The debris stopped pretty close to where we were.

Raymond and Gobblers Knob.

On the other side of the ridge… Millcreek panorama.

Still no activity in the Wilson Chutes.

Could be Heaven hangin down low.

Gettin the goods.

As soon as the camera was put away, i popped off the cornice i was standing on. No big deal…just like the ones on either side.

Yeaaa Robin!

Perfect conditions.
