Big Cottonwood Canyon: Up Argenta slide path to Kessler summit, down the entrance of the West Couloir and up to Kessler South, down NW Couloir and out Mineral Fork.

Elevations: 6,500′ – 10,401′

The Argenta Couloir yesterday was so epic, I decided to bring some homies back up to Kessler and drop a bigger line into Mineral. It is a similar aspect and elevation compared to the chute from yesterday so i was feeling good about it. Anything facing west tends to be the least wind loaded right now and digging pits doesnt seem to give much info cause the drifts are so random.

Gaining the ridge got us a view of our chute. You cant actualy see it cause its set down in a gully but it starts up at the top left.

Drom, Sun & The Twins.

Woo hoooo summit!

Kevin and Adriano gettin after the crackers n java.

Took a coupla photos.

And had some fun soda.

For a sketchy boot down the rocks. Looks fun huh?

Traversed the danger zone that is the West Couloir. Looks like the 2 guys we saw this morning shralped it up with a few ski cuts up top.

This is why you have to boot down and around. Good luck stayin on that ridge.

Brook broke trail to the final summit.

And I somehow managed to snap my split right before a 4,000′ descent.

This one looked fun but the snow was better on the northwest.

Kevin gettin first tracks and pettin the dog.

Brook went out to the edge to scope a line thru the cliffs and waterfalls.

And we followed.

Outta the cliffs and a long run thru the aspens. This has got to be one of the best lines i know about. Only a helmet cam could do it justice.

Since my split snapped like a twig, who knows when ill be in the backcountry again. Feel free to donate large sums of money to the New Shred Board Fund.
