After spendin the night in Christmas Valley with some new friends I made via hitch hiking…

It was time to begin the day I’ve been waiting for. SO much pow and sunshine. Does it really get any better?

You know what they say… “Good things come to people who stay in California long enough for it to dump 3 feet and shred mountains.”

Goin back to Becker Peak. I sure am glad I already broke the skin trail. It cut our approach time in half.

Back on the summit for a 3rd time. Definitely didnt look like this yesterday.

Through the secret passage way.

And down the hatch.

Dave the wave.

And Chris livin it up.

The steeps had slid during the storm so they were a bit sensitive.

A little pow slash stability check….

And there is goes.

Outta the danger zone and into my debris pile.

This is a feature Chris has been scoping for a long time. It looked perfect so why not?

A straight line was in order. I can’t decide which of the two shots I like better. Lemme know what YOU think.

After cruisin down to Echo, we said our goodbyes to my new friend Dave. He had to run off to the real world and make some money.

Lookin back from the next ridgeline.

Closer.

We’re pretty good at this stuff.

Thats right… soak in the views. Might be a while before I see this again.

So this is what is known as the Forbidden Zone. Your technically not allowed to rip down any of this because they do random bombing due to its location above the road. Also, if you make anything slide, it could cover some cars which is just no good. I remember Chris sayin somthin about a sign that said how they would throw you in jail if violating the area.

This might of been what he was talking about. It just looked too good to pass up so we figured that if anyone said anything, we’d say we’re from Utah.

To the road!

Oh man….. so much happiness comin at me real fast.

If these photos dont make you want to snowboard, theres no hope for ya.

Its just so beautiful. I shit you not….. the next 15 cars that passed by were honkin and yellin out the windows at us with thumbs up. Thats the line everyone wants to do but knows better.

And seen for miles.

We hitched a ride into town and ordered up some tasty treats at the Divided Sky Bar. That hit the spot. I couldnt ask for a better way to wrap up my Cali trip.

One last look at Lake Tahoe….

And back on the road.

Nobody told me there was a skatepark in Carson City. There goes 2 hours off my travel time. I made it into Lovelock for another night in the Shoe Box.

Hit up another small town park in Elko. Not much but I could skate a parking lot for hours.

And back into Utah.

For some more skate action. Thanks for the photo Dan!

Special thanks to Chris Gallardo for being my guide. This amazing trip would have never happened without you man. I’ll be back!!
