LCC: White Pine trailhead to Pink Pine ridge and back.
First shredders to the lot…. except Johnny Law and the UDOT guy warning us that they will be shooting bombs into the fog… always gives you that warm fuzzy feeling.
On the ridge lookin back to the TH. Trailbreaking was unreal. My ski tips just kept getting stuck under the denser snow about a foot down.
So Dan took the lead. Lookin pretty deep for him too.
Took a break for some chocolate GU and animal crackers. I swear… its just like Dunkaroos.
As soon as we entered the last steep pitch to the top, I took one step and this soft slab popped out and rushed down into those trees. It was really suprising how fast it took off.
So I went up and stomped around seeing if i could trigger some more. This one was about 40 feet wide and almost took out Dan over there. Extremely easy to set off and triggered at 47 degrees.
That chute was the goal but we both agreed that we would end up getting flushed out and over those cliffs…. doesnt sound like too much fun.
But we still got to experience the deepest pow of our lives.
Oh yes…
It was exhausting.
And we were able to set off this little creekalanche too.
Bottom Line: let it settle.
