BOTTOM LINE

Danger by aspect and elevation on slopes approaching 35° or steeper.

Robin said it perfectly…. even think about the backcountry today and you will surely parish.

Another day for powdah in the trees.

Thanks to Mark, we decided to head up Butler Fork to the sheltered east facing aspen lines. Pretty much everything, including the resorts, got all the new snow wind blasted and scoured.

The approach… lookin kinna gnarly down low.

Through a winter wonderland.

I’m comin back for this one.

Its gunna be deep!

Almost to the top, lookin down into our trees.

On the summit with the road down at the bottom. God’s Lawnmower & Argenta in the background.

Such a sick view from here but all you could see was winter today.

That’s more like it.

Butler in the fall

A frozen dome.

And a buttery run in the aspens.

Outta there.
